COLOR ANALYSIS

COLOR ANALYSIS

WHAT COLOR LOOKS BEST ON YOU?!

This trend has been alllll over tik tok & if you haven't seen it.... I am here to share everything I've learned. I think it is SO fascinating! So what is a color analysis? Doing a color analysis is going to help you find the colors that complement you, based off of your coloring. Everything from your clothing, jewelry, to your makeup. There are a lot of different color pallets but what I've found to make it easy is going off of seasonal colors. Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.

I found this super awesome chart on Pinterest that will help to guide you through your color analysis.

So let's get into it:

1. Skintone: You are first going to figure out your skin tone. Do you have a cool undertone or a warm undertone? Look at your veins on the inside of your wrist. If you have blue veins, you have a cool undertone. If you have more of a green tint to your veins, you have a warm undertone. Does your skin tan easily or burn easily? When you try on silver and gold jewelry, which one makes your skin glow and look brighter?

2. Hair Color: Do you have light or dark hair? Identify the primary color of your hair, whether it's blonde, brunette, black, red, or another shade. Note any variations or highlights in your hair color, as these can influence which colors are most flattering.

3. Eye Color: Do you have light or dark eyes?

4. Palette: Now for the fun part! Determining which category you fall under.

  • Spring: Individuals in this category typically have warm undertones, light to medium skin tones, and hair that ranges from light blonde to light brown. Their eyes may be green, hazel, or blue. Colors that fall into this category are:  Soft peach, Warm coral, Golden yellow, Light turquoise, Mint green, Camel, Warm browns.

  • Summer: People in this category usually have cool undertones, fair to light skin tones, and hair that can be blonde, ash brown, or light to medium brown. Eye colors may include blue, green, or gray. Colors that fall into this category are: Soft lavender, Cool pink, Dusty rose, Light gray-blue, Pale mint, Mauve, Cool taupe.

  • Autumn: Autumn individuals often have warm undertones, medium to dark skin tones, and hair that ranges from medium brown to dark brown or auburn. Their eyes can be brown, hazel, or green. Colors that fall into this category are: Deep orange, Burnt Sienna, Olive green, Rust, Terracotta, Warm golden yellow, Deep chocolate brown.

  • Winter: Winter individuals typically have cool undertones, a wide range of skin tones (from fair to dark), and dark hair (black, deep brown, or dark brunette). Eye colors may be brown, blue, or green. Colors that fall into this category are: True red, Royal blue, Emerald green, Deep purple, Bright fuchsia, Icy silver, Charcoal black.

It's important to note that not EVERYONE fits perfectly into one of these four categories, and there can be variations within each type. Personal preferences and style play a significant role in fashion choices, so you're not limited to wearing ONLY the colors associated with your seasonal type. The seasonal color analysis is just a guideline to help you discover colors that enhance your natural beauty and make you look their best. Because you should always wear what feels most like YOU and what makes YOU feel the most confident.
